The formula, which stands behind the immediate success of pop music, seems to be hidden in the name of the genre: popular music. Unlike early rock music, pop was never created as music appealing only to small group of listeners. Since its beginning in the mid-50s pop music was made as a style, that will be pleasing to wide audience, and therefore it was often more simplistic and more focused on melody and rhythm, instead of improvisation. Pop music songs are usually very harmonious, rhythmical, with easy to repeat choruses. This is the hidden power of pop music played live: pop gigs engage all viewers and virtually everyone can “join” the pop singer and sing together the lines of his or her favorite song. Pop concerts usually have a very warm and positive atmosphere and they unite people of all ages. At Zazu Music booking agency we are perfectly aware of all these features of pop music and we often invite pop bands to play during events organized and managed by our company. We are representing and booking artists from United States, Canada, Europe and UK, but we also promote local pop bands, which are often booked by our customers for festivals or other entertaining events.
