The Long Awaited album from the highly talented Nico Tamburella “Mind Cage”

Picking up the guitar at the impressionable young age of ten, drawing inspiration from guitar greats Ritchie Blackmore, Jeff Beck and Jimi Hendrix, between session playing and his own projects, Italian native and London-based Nico Tamburella has been dedicated to perfecting his craft from the beginning. Taking the spotlight on his most accomplished and heaviest offering to date, ‘Mind Cage’ sees this long-standing passion and skill combining the blues rock stylings of the likes of Budgie and Deep Purple, and adding the electrified drive of metal classics such as Saxon and Tygers Of Pan Tang into a uniquely crisp and hard-hitting rock opus destined to turn heads across the broad spectrum of rock and roll.

No stranger to modern music, Nico’s career is as established as his playing. Joining Stardust at the age of fourteen, he would form his first personal outing in the late 80s called Nico’s Fleet, who released 2 albums, ‘Born For Your Ears’ and ‘Burned Down To The Wire’ in 1988 and 1992 respectively. Moving to Los Angeles with the hopes of securing a major label deal, the band’s dreams were quickly dismantled by personal hardship which would also see Nico dropping the guitar for several years. After discovering Nichiren Buddhism, in 2002 he experienced a musical awakening and began practising and playing guitar once again. The first song he wrote, “We Will Win”, was quickly grabbed by Sony Music in 2003 for popular Spanish artist Lexter and was released on the soundtrack of 20th Century Fox/MGA movie ‘The Bratz’, which eventually sold millions of copes worldwide. His most recent project, Nico’s Alchemy, gained him a great deal of praise for his abilities and forward thinking song-writing from industry standards such as Guitar Techniques Magazine, Powerplay, and The American, and even from Iron Maiden’s legendary frontman Bruce Dickinson on his BBC Radio One show.

‘Mind Cage’, rounded out by the Nico’s Alchemy line-up, sees vocalist Geoff Adrenalin’s crooning reaching soaring heights with all the tenacity, grit and power of Chris Cornell, while the talents of bassist Danni Stanner and drummer Andy Reddington hold down the fort with their own clever contributions. Masterfully executed, infectiously groovy and one hundred per cent kick ass, ‘Mind Cage’ is the pinnacle of a determined and impressive career.
